Natalia Bernard appointed Chief Financial Officer and Head of Management Control

Cristal Union announces the appointment of Natalia Bernard as Chief Financial Officer and Head of Management Control. In this role, she joins the Group’s Executive Management Committee and will oversee the Finance, Management Control, Treasury and Tax functions.

As a graduate of ESCP and London Business School, Natalia Bernard has more than twenty years of experience in financial functions within international groups. After holding several positions in financial control, accounting and performance management at PSA and then Renault Group, where she notably served as Group Accounting Director of AVTOVAZ and subsequently as Chief Financial Officer, she joined the agri-food group LDC in 2023 as Group Chief Financial officer.

She now brings to Cristal Union her recognized expertise in financial management, performance, and investment support, which she acquired in demanding industrial and agri-food environments.

Alessio Bruschetta, former Chief Executive Officer of Eridania, Cristal Union’s Italian subsidiary, appointed Chief Executive Officer of Cristalco

Holding a degree in Economics from the University of Bologna and having furthered his education at leading academic institutions such as SDA Bocconi School of Management and INSEAD, Alessio Bruschetta has spent most of his career in the consumer goods and agri-food sectors.

After 15 years of experience with Procter & Gamble in Italy and internationally, he joined Eridania in 2014 as Sales Director. He played a key role in the company’s transformation and development – which became a subsidiary of Cristal Union in 2016 – successively serving as Sales and Marketing Director and Business Director, before taking responsibility for Supply Chain activities and industrial operations at the Russi site, one of Europe’s major sugar packaging centers. Appointed Chief Executive Officer of Eridania Italian in 2021, he led the development strategy of Italy’s leading sugar brand, the diversification of its activities and its sustainability commitments. Giuseppe Di Bono will succeed him as Chief Executive Officer of Eridania.

His in-depth knowledge of the markets and strong understanding of the sugar industry will be major assets in continuing to develop Cristalco and strengthening the Group’s position across its markets.
