Cristal Union was created in 2000, following the merger of four sugar beet farming cooperatives. It has remained true to its founding cooperative-based values. Its status as a farming cooperative guarantees its close ties to the local communities and contributes to the development of rural areas. The 9,300 members are stakeholders in the cooperative. They are organized into 6 sections and 3 cooperatives, represented by a Section Board. Their elected representatives hold seats on the cooperative Board of Directors, which is responsible for the strategy implemented by the Management Committee.
