In 2017, we launched Biocidal®, our range of alcohols for pharmaceutical and hygiene use, ahead of market expectations.
Thus, from the first lockdown we were capable of mass-producing alcohols intended for the production of hydroalcoholic gels.
From mid-March 2020, Cristal Union redirected its bioethanol production – an activity in temporary decline within the context of the health crisis – towards these types of highly sought-after alcohols at its Arcis-sur-Aube, Goyard and Dislaub sites.
Our Group saw record sales, rising from 5 million liters in 2019 to more than 50 million liters in 2020.
